Four people were charged on 21 April 2026 with conspiracy and Computer Misuse Act offences over the Croydon East selection.

What we found

The Met said the CPS authorised charges against Joel Bodmer, Shila Bodmer, Gabriel Leroy and Carole Bonner over alleged unauthorised changes to members' details on Labour's database during the 2023 Croydon East selection. One later pleaded guilty; three deny the charges and face trial in 2029.
