Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 2025
1. Sourcing
All articles are sourced from established news outlets, wire services, and official publications. We use direct publisher RSS feeds from outlets including BBC, Reuters, Associated Press, The New York Times, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and regional publications in each country we cover.
We never publish a story based on a single anonymous source. For fact-check articles, we require at least two independent source families before publishing a verdict.
2. Verification
Standard articles are verified against the source material. Key facts, quotes, and statistics are cross-referenced before publication.
Fact-check articles undergo a rigorous three-step process: claim extraction, evidence gathering from multiple independent sources, and verdict determination based on the weight of evidence.
3. Neutrality
Measured Take maintains strict editorial neutrality. We present facts, not opinions. Our articles do not contain editorializing, endorsements, or value judgments beyond what the evidence supports.
The only exception is our Fact Check verdicts, which are deliberately direct and unambiguous. When a politician's claim contradicts the evidence, we say so clearly.
4. Corrections
We correct errors promptly and transparently. All corrections are logged on our Corrections page. Significant corrections are noted at the top of the affected article.
If you believe we have published inaccurate information, contact us at corrections@measuredtake.com.
5. AI Disclosure
Measured Take uses AI tools in our editorial process. AI assists with research, fact-checking, and draft generation. All content is reviewed for accuracy and adherence to our editorial standards before publication.
Our AI pipeline is designed to augment journalism, not replace it. Every article is an original piece — never a copy-paste of source material.
6. Independence
Measured Take is independently owned. We do not accept sponsored content or allow advertisers to influence our editorial decisions. Our coverage is driven by newsworthiness, not commercial interests.
7. Comments & Community
Comments on our articles are moderated for spam, harassment, and off-topic content. We welcome constructive disagreement and diverse perspectives. Comments containing hate speech, personal attacks, or misinformation will be removed.
