Ron DeSantis is the 46th Governor of Florida, serving since January 8, 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party and served from 2013 to 2018 as the U.S. representative for Florida's 6th congressional district. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and a Harvard Law School graduate. His tenure as governor has drawn national attention for policies on COVID-19, education reform and abortion legislation.
