Pierluigi Collina

Pierluigi Collina (born 13 February 1960) is an Italian former football referee widely regarded as one of the best in the sport's history. He was named the World's Best Referee six consecutive times from 1998 to 2003 and officiated numerous high-profile matches, including Serie A, Champions League, and international tournaments. After retiring in 2005, he became head of UEFA's referees commission in 2010 and chairman of the FIFA referees committee in 2017, continuing to influence global refereeing standards.
