Sevilla and Osasuna have confirmed their starting XIs for Monday night's LaLiga fixture at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, with the home side protecting a sixth-place standing and the visitors leaning on Ante Budimir to lead the attack.

Sevilla arrive on 14 points from nine matchdays, sitting sixth in the table. Their most recent outing ended in a 4-1 defeat to Real Madrid, a result that halted momentum and sharpened the need for a response in front of their own crowd. Osasuna travel to Seville with the chance to disrupt a side still finding its footing under Luis García.

Sevilla Set Up in a 4-4-2

Sevilla's confirmed shape is a 4-4-2, a structure that asks the two central midfielders to cover ground horizontally while the front pair split defensive duties. Against an Osasuna side that will look to Budimir as a focal point, the home midfield's ability to screen the space in front of the back four becomes the first tactical question of the night.

The 4-4-2 also places a premium on the wide players tracking back. Sevilla's full-backs will need cover when Osasuna's wide forwards push high, and the two banks of four must stay compact to deny Budimir service into feet.

Osasuna Counter with a 4-3-3

Osasuna have named a 4-3-3, giving them a three-man midfield that can overload the centre against Sevilla's two. That numerical advantage in the middle third is the clearest structural edge either side holds on paper. If Osasuna can circulate the ball through the thirds, they can pull Sevilla's midfield out of shape and create lanes for Budimir to attack.

The 4-3-3 also gives Osasuna natural width, with the front three stretching Sevilla's back line. The question is whether their midfield trio can win the ball back quickly enough to feed the forwards before Sevilla's 4-4-2 collapses into a compact block.

The Players to Watch

Ante Budimir is the name Osasuna's setup is built to serve. The striker has yet to score this season, and his role as the central reference point in the 4-3-3 means the visitors' attacking output will run through him. If Sevilla's centre-backs can isolate him from the midfield, Osasuna's threat narrows considerably.

For Sevilla, the 4-4-2 demands discipline from the front two and the wide midfielders. The home side's ability to press without leaving gaps between the lines will determine whether Osasuna's midfield three can dictate tempo.

Alejandro Catena and Abel Bretones are among the confirmed starters tasked with managing the spaces Budimir will target. Aitor Fernández and Andrés Lopez complete the core of a lineup that must balance defensive solidity with the need to create chances at the other end.

Kick-off at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán is set, with Sevilla looking to consolidate sixth place and Osasuna aiming to make the trip count. The shapes are confirmed: Sevilla's 4-4-2 against Osasuna's 4-3-3. The decisive detail will be which midfield structure imposes itself first.
