Nwannekaenyi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu
Nwannekaenyi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu (born 25 September 1967) is a British‑Nigerian political activist and the founder and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a separatist movement that seeks the restoration of the Republic of Biafra in southeastern Nigeria. He established IPOB in 2012/2014 and operates Radio Biafra from the United Kingdom. Kanu has been arrested multiple times by Nigerian authorities on treason and terrorism charges, and his activities have generated significant controversy both within Nigeria and internationally.
