Hope Uzodimma
Hope Uzodimma (born 12 December 1958) is the incumbent Governor of Imo State, Nigeria, serving since January 2020 after a Supreme Court ruling affirmed his election. He previously served two terms as Senator for Imo West (2011‑2019) and held positions as Commissioner for Special Duties, House of Representatives member, and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Customs and Excise. Uzodimma holds a B.Sc. in International Studies and an M.Sc. in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, and is a trained lawyer. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and chairs the Progressive Governors’ Forum.
