Geronimo Power’s 270MW Blevins Solar Plant Goes Live, Securing PPAs with Fujifilm and Bristol Myers Squibb
Geronimo Power's 270MW Blevins solar plant, featuring 360MWh battery storage, begins commercial operations in Texas, supplying power to Fujifilm and Bristol Myers Squibb.

Geronimo Power has started commercial operations for its 270-megawatt (MW) Blevins solar plant in Texas, which includes a 360-megawatt-hour (MWh) battery storage system. Fujifilm and Bristol Myers Squibb will purchase the plant’s output under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs).
US independent power producer Geronimo Power, now operating as National Grid Renewables following its $1.735 billion acquisition by Brookfield, continues to expand its renewable energy footprint. The company operates within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) market, a key power grid for over 26 million Texas customers. Such large-scale renewable projects contribute to corporate sustainability targets and regional energy supply.
The Blevins solar plant, located in Falls County, Texas, began commercial operations with a 270MW capacity. This installation integrates a 360MWh battery energy storage system, enhancing grid reliability. This 2,300-acre project is estimated to generate 300,000MWh of electricity annually.
Under power purchase agreements (PPAs), Fujifilm secured 125MW, representing 46% of the plant’s total output. Pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb contracted the remaining 145MW. The project supported approximately 400 construction jobs and will maintain three to four full-time operational roles.
The Blevins plant provides a significant step for its corporate partners towards their renewable energy goals. Fujifilm and Bristol Myers Squibb will now source a substantial portion of their power needs from a dedicated solar facility. Geronimo Power, with a portfolio exceeding 1.7 gigawatts (GW) of developed or operational renewable energy projects, continues to add utility-scale assets. Geronimo emphasizes that such projects deliver community value, dependable power, and economic investment through these strategic partnerships.
Future developments will focus on how integrated battery storage systems like Blevins' contribute to grid stability in volatile markets such as ERCOT. Observers will also track the continued trend of major corporations securing renewable energy through direct purchase agreements.
