What we found
SENAE issued a resolution on 9 April 2026 raising the tariff on all goods of Colombian origin to 100% from 1 May, with exemptions such as oil and energy imports. The first version of this fact check had the year as 2024; the correct date is 1 May 2026. The Andean Community ordered both countries to lift trade curbs on 8 May 2026.
