Red Bull Promotes Ben Waterhouse to Chief Performance and Design Engineer Amid Leadership Overhaul

Red Bull Racing has elevated Ben Waterhouse to Chief Performance and Design Engineer, centralizing oversight for design and vehicle performance. This organizational shift aims to streamline development and integrate technical functions more closely.

Red Bull Racing is implementing significant changes within its technical leadership. These adjustments follow a period marked by the departure of several key figures in recent years, including Chief Engineering Officer Rob Marshall and Sporting Director Jonathan Wheatley. The team seeks to reinforce its engineering foundation and maintain its competitive edge.

Ben Waterhouse now serves as Chief Performance and Design Engineer, assuming comprehensive responsibility for both Design and Vehicle Performance. He reports directly to Technical Director Pierre Wache. Waterhouse joined the Red Bull family in 2014 from BMW Sauber, previously holding positions such as Deputy Technical Director at Scuderia Toro Rosso and Head of Performance Engineering at the main Red Bull outfit since 2017.

Further strengthening the department, Andrea Landi will join Red Bull as Head of Performance on July 1. Landi will report to Waterhouse, bringing experience from roles like Deputy Head of Vehicle Performance at Ferrari and Deputy Technical Director at Racing Bulls.
