Hundreds of athletes and fun seekers converged at the 2004 Estate, situated along the Monastery axis of the Lagos Coastal Road corridor, for the inaugural QShelter 2004 M00VE Experience Marathon. QShelter Limited, a digital property platform, partnered with The Fitness Religion Company to host this comprehensive fitness and lifestyle event. The program featured a mini-marathon, a fun race, aerobics, dance sessions, a 5-a-side football match, and strength competitions, attracting participants nationwide.
The marathon segment served as a key highlight, drawing athletes into a coordinated, high-energy environment. Competitors vied across distinct 5km and 22km categories, featuring both male and female divisions. Fadekemi Erinle claimed the top position in the female 22km race, demonstrating a strong competitive performance.
Other category winners included Gang James, Gyang Sunday, and Aminat Alabi, who each secured victories across the various distances. These athletic achievements underscored the event's broad appeal and successful execution.
QShelter Chairman Kola Sowande praised the significant turnout and extensive community engagement. Sowande articulated that integrating lifestyle events like the M00VE Experience is a deliberate strategy to raise awareness and foster direct engagement with the 2004 Estate project’s vision. He highlighted the event's role in contributing to efforts to reduce Nigeria’s housing deficit and confirmed plans to establish the M00VE Experience as an annual, expanding event.
Chief Operating Officer Gbenga Alamu further detailed the event's strategic foundation. Alamu explained that the marathon resulted from deliberate planning, extensive research, and proactive community engagement. He clarified the initiative's broader objective: to build a platform that supports not just housing, but also lifestyle, wellness, and long-term resident value within the developing community.
This maiden M00VE Experience successfully integrated athletic achievement with QShelter's strategic property development goals. The event positioned the 2004 Estate as a hub for both community engagement and a tangible contributor to national housing solutions. The continued evolution of this annual experience will offer ongoing insight into its impact on fitness, community building, and real estate development across the region.
