TL;DR
PETAN will lead Nigeria’s presence at the 2026 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. It announced a partnership with Acme Multitech Services Limited to operate the Nigerian Pavilion.
Context The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) represents technical service firms owned by Nigerians across the oil and gas value chain. The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) meets each year in Houston where firms show technology, discuss trends, and seek partnerships. PETAN will coordinate Nigeria’s pavilion, which highlights firms’ abilities to an international audience.
Key Facts PETAN said it will take part as a stakeholder in Nigeria’s delegation, working with Acme Multitech Services Limited. Chairman Wole Ogunsanya said OTC 2026 is a platform to show that Nigerian companies are technically sound, globally competitive, and ready to lead Africa’s energy transformation, not just to observe. The Nigerian Pavilion will open on Monday, 4 May 2026 at 11 am, opened by the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil).
Pavilion Programme The pavilion runs four days. On 5 May the African Energy Forum meets at NRG Centre, Room 300, with panelists from IOCs, NOCs, and regulators across Africa. On 6 May the NCDMB–OEM Investment Forum takes place at the Wyndham Hotel, focusing on local content and industrial capacity building. The event ends on 7 May with a networking golf tournament at Quail Valley Golf Course in Missouri City, Texas.
What It Means By hosting the pavilion, PETAN aims to show expertise built over decades in well engineering, fabrication, marine services, and reservoir technology. The event creates chances for Nigerian firms to meet international investors, original equipment manufacturers, and regulators. Success may lead to joint ventures, technology transfers, and more foreign direct investment in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. Observers will watch for signed memoranda of understanding and follow‑on investment announcements after the conference. PETAN members cover the range of technical services, from well engineering to reservoir technology, offering a base for collaboration. The association says it will deliver an investment message that Nigeria’s oil and gas sector is open, structured, and ready to scale.
